American Airlines Flight Availability
Find out what American Airlines flights are available between two cities on a specific date, and see exactly how many seats are open in each fare class, in real time. This is more accurate than a seat map for judging how full a flight is, because not all passengers select seats in advance.

How to Use This Search
| Field | How It Works |

| Departing Airport | Enter the 3 letter airport code, for example SFO, or the first 3 letters of the airport or city name to see a matching list. |
| Arriving Airport | Same as above for your destination. |
| Depart Date | The date you want to travel. |
| Depart Time | The time of day to start results from. Busy city pairs have more flights than can be listed at once, so advance this time to page forward through the day. |
| Date Range | Expand the search to plus or minus 1, 2 or 3 days around your date. Premium subscribers only. Plus or minus 3 days is a hard limit. |
| Airline(s) (prefilled as AA) | Prefilled as AA on this page and editable. Up to 3 airlines can be searched. |
| Connecting Airport(s) | Specify up to 2 airports to filter for flights routing through those cities. |
| Exclude Codeshares (American Airlines) | Hides codeshare flights, showing only flights operated by American Airlines. |
| Only Show Class(es) | Enter up to 9 booking class codes to filter results to specific fare buckets. See the American Airlines class table below. |
| Connection Preference | Any, direct or non stop only, at least 1 connection, or at least 2 connections. |
| Point of Sale | Under Advanced Options. Some airlines show different availability by market. Default is USA; switching to UK can reveal different fare class availability. |
Understanding the Results
Results show availability per fare class as a number next to a letter code. For example J4 means four seats available in business class full fare. A 0 means that fare class is sold out.
The number shown is the minimum number of seats available at that fare class. Sometimes more seats exist, but the GDS reports a capped number.
