Quick Alert allows you to set up flight monitoring alerts for specific flights quickly and easily. You can monitor flight availability, schedule changes, and aircraft changes all in one place. This is perfect when you want to track a specific flight.
Alert Name
Give your alert a descriptive name that helps you identify it later. For example:"Trip to NYC - AA123" or"Business Trip - United 456". This name will appear in your alert notifications and management dashboard.
Depart Date
Select the specific date you want to monitor the flight. The system will track the flight on this exact date. You can set alerts for future dates within the allowed booking window.
Airline and Flight Number
Specify the exact flight you want to monitor:
Airline: Search and select the airline operating the flight
Flight Number: Enter the flight number (e.g., 123 for AA123)
Once you enter these details, the system will automatically search for matching flights and display them in the Flight Results section.
Flight Results
After entering the airline and flight number, you'll see a list of matching flights for your selected date. Each result shows:
Departure and arrival airports
Departure date
Airline and flight number
Click on a flight result to automatically populate the airport fields and confirm this is the flight you want to monitor.
Airport Selection
Specify the departure and arrival airports for your flight:
Departing Airport: Enter the 3-letter airport code (e.g., LAX for Los Angeles)
Arriving Airport: Enter the 3-letter airport code (e.g., JFK for New York JFK)
You can use the swap button to quickly switch the departure and arrival airports if needed.
Schedule Change Alerts
Monitor your flight for any schedule changes including time changes, delays, or cancellations:
Enable Schedule Change Monitoring: Toggle this on to receive alerts about any changes to flight times
Time Change Flexibility: Set how sensitive you want the alerts to be for minor time adjustments
You'll be notified immediately when the airline makes any changes to the flight schedule.
Flight Availability Alerts
Monitor seat availability in specific booking classes:
Enable Availability Monitoring: Toggle this on to track seat availability
Class Code: Select the specific booking class you want to monitor (e.g., Y for Economy, J for Business)
Quantity: Set the minimum number of seats you need
Quantity Operator: Choose"At least" or"Less than" to define your monitoring criteria
This is particularly useful for monitoring award availability or upgrade eligibility.
Aircraft Change Alerts
Get notified when the airline changes the aircraft type for your flight:
Monitor for equipment changes that might affect your seat selection
Be alerted to upgrades or downgrades in aircraft type
Important for flights where specific aircraft features matter (Wi-Fi, entertainment, seat configuration)
Alert Preferences
Customize how your alerts are managed:
Save Alert Settings: Save your current alert configuration as default preferences for future alerts. When enabled, the following settings will be saved for all future quick alerts:
Schedule Change preferences (enabled/disabled and time change flexibility settings)
Aircraft Change preferences (enabled/disabled)
Flight Availability preferences (enabled/disabled, preferred class code, quantity, and quantity operator)
Send Test Email: Receive a test email to confirm your alert is set up correctly and emails are being delivered
Note: Flight-specific information (airline, flight number, date, airports) is never saved as preferences - only your alert type settings are preserved for future use.
Alert Management
Once your quick alert is created, you can manage it through your alerts dashboard:
View all active alerts and their status
Modify or disable alerts as needed
Review alert history and notifications
Set up additional alerts for the same or different flights
